What's missing . . .Accessories!?!

NY&CO Jersey Wrap Shirt-Goodwill [$3.75]
Self Expressions Light Control Tank-Target [$16.99)
The Limited Pants, Bandolino Flat Sandals, Vintage Earrings

I love this outfit, but looking back at the pictures I feel like it's missing something, a scarf, a necklace, some bangles, just something extra. I don't even remember why I left the house looking so plain. Maybe it was because I was so excited about wearing the vintage earrings I purchased last week and thought they were just enough by themselves. Or maybe it was the NY&CO shirt, I gave away the exact same shirt a few years ago because it was too small (before I discovered shapewear), so when I saw this one during an impromptu lunch visit to Goodwill on High Point Road, of course I purchased it along with a few other great shirts to add to my wardrobe.

Spartan Bold, Blue & Gold Challenge

a.n.a (JC Penny) Ruffle Blouse-Goodwill [$3.75]
GAP Jeans, Soda Gladiator Sandals-Ross [$9.99]
Earrings-Charlotte Russe [2 for $8]

UNCG's Spartan Orientation, Advising ,and Registration (SOAR) began yesterday and will continue through August welcoming new students and their families to UNCG. For some reason, I am really excited about SOAR this year. Maybe it's because I'm working in a new office, Undergraduate Student Excellence or maybe it's the new fashion challenge I've decided to embark on. My office is involved in various activities throughout SOAR, so I plan to wear blue and gold (well, yellow) in a stylish, fashionable, trendy way (because ya'll know I only do t-shirts on game day). My Spring Color Blocking outfits will definitely be in rotation and I also hope to capture some fashionable blue and gold Spartans across campus.

GAP Jeans

Now is the time to buy JEANS!
GAP Essential Bootcut Jeans $44.99 [$8.39]
GAP Grey Wash Jeans $24.99 [$11.18]
GAP Kempton Straight Jeans $24.99[$7.69]

It's Memorial Weekend, the official beginning of summer for most people. Retailers are all stocked up on shorts, sundresses, and sandals. Who's even thinking about buying jeans when it's 90 degrees outside? I am! Now is one of the best times of the year to stock up on jeans. Last year, I purchased several pairs of jeans during the fall and winter. Most of them were thrifted and ranged in price from $5-$15, which isn't that bad considering they were all name brand (GAP and Old Navy).

In the past couple of weeks I've found some great deals on jeans for myself and Camden. Last week, I purchased a pair of NY&CO Skinny Jeans, regular priced $49.95 for only $14.98. But the best deal of all was at the GAP Outlet Store at Tanger in Mebane, NC. The entire store was on sale this week and clearance was an additional 30% during my shopping trip. I am seriously thinking about going back this weekend to purchase another pair, one for heels/wedge and one hemmed for flats.

October is also a good time to buy jeans, if you are on a tight budget right now or planning for your upcoming summer vacations. Most retailers, are trying to get rid of all their leftover back to school stock (because of people like me who are shopping now for back to school).

UPTOWN CHEAPSKATE - $30 for $15

One of this week's Piedmont Triad Perks is a $30 certificate for $15 at Uptown Cheapskate

Michael Kors Sweater - Uptown Cheapskate $9.99 [$4.20]
Gap Bootleg Dark Denim Jeans [FREE]
Aerosole Brown Flats [purchased a few years ago at Ross]

I was out and about a few weeks ago and found this Michael Kors sweater for only $9.99! Imagine my excitement when I found out that I still had a store credit from a previous consignment and everything was an additional 10% off for the weekend bringing my total to just $4.20. The GAP jeans were a gift from one of students at UNCG, who recently interned at VF Jeans, one of the many perks of working in higher education.

Uptown Cheapskate is one of my favorite consignment stores in Greensboro, NC. Not only do they give you a great return on your gently used items, they carry name brands for young professionals that I love like The Limited, NY&CO, and GAP.
