Black Friday Shopping

I am NOT a Black Friday Shopper! I don't like shopping in large crowds of people and most of the time I'm in a small rural area for Thanskgiving where everyone camps out Walmart or Belk. This year I was in Fayetteville, NC and about 10 minutes from Cross Creek Mall. After finally deciding on what I absolutely needed (or really wanted), I came up with a plan of action for making it through this shopping experience.

With only 3 stores on my shopping list, my mom and I got up at 5:30 am and arrived at the mall at 6:15 am. We got a park right away, but as soon as I got in JCPenny I started to sing "Jesus Be A Fence"-Fred Hammond. People were everywhere! I didn't even take a chance on the items I planned to purchase for myself. I headed straight to the Kids section and crossed off Camden's list in 10 minutes. I had planned to get a few of the small appliances for upcoming wedding gifts and I wasn't surprised that they were already sold out. After standing in line for an hour, it was time to head to the rest of the mall (which actually wasn't that bad). I finished up my shopping trip with a walk around NY&CO and 2 pair of boots, a pair of shoes, and a BCBG Affirmation bracelet from Belk (Follow IMPR4Less on Instragram for pics).

There was no way I was going shopping in another city without finding a Goodwill. The prices are slightly lower at Goodwill in Fayetteville in comparison to Goodwills here in the Triad, NC. Fortunately my mom had some cash because they also only accept cash or check. I absolutely fell in love with these Steve Madden leopard flats and even Googled ways to repair the damage, but ended up walking away. I enjoyed spending quality time with my mom, but I'm officially over Black Friday Shopping (at least until next year)

  1. Sounds like your trip was pretty fruitful despite the JCPenney chaos! Glad you passed on the Steve Madden shoes...the repairs wouldn't have made them worth it!
