Bargains at Belk

Bobeci Blouse - Belk's  $14.40
Forever 21 Necklace $3.80
Vintage Earrings - Goodwill $4.00
Charlotte Russe Bracelet ~New York and Company Jeans & Ring

I know I just posted this color combination last week in the BDIB Coral +Mint Challenge, but I just couldn't pass up this coral blouse on clearance at Belk's last weekend. Belk is on of those regional southern stores that are familiar among most of my small town friends. While I was growing up, going to Belk was a privilege because it was so expensive. Now that I'm older, it's still expensive, but here are a few tips that I use for shopping retail that keep me from going over budget (because I love thrifting but I still need my retail fix from time to time).

1. Shop Extra Clearance Sales
There is nothing better than shopping during a sale when there is an additional percentage off clearance. This blouse was originally $58, on clearance for 28.99, and an additional 50% bringing the price I paid to $14.40

2. Have a Specific Price Point
This is a general a rule I always use to never pay over a certain amount for a specific item, no matter what the original price. I walked away for a pair of Steve Madden Booties that were $35, why because it's the summer and I refuse to pay more than $25 for a pair of shoes.

3. Stock Up On Must Haves
I got Camden four pairs of Red Camel Jeans for $5 each!! My school shopping is officially done!! Does he need jeans now? No, but August will be here soon and the least expensive jeans that I find during Back to School sales are $10 from Old Navy or Children's Place. And let's face it, he's a rough little boy who goes through clothes like ohmygoodness. This is also a good time of year to stock up on underwear and pajamas.

I got a lot of great finds during multiple shopping trips to multiple Belk locations, but my favorite find are a pair of Madden Girl Sandals for $15! Pics coming soon.

  1. Looks like you scored some great deals! I adore that blouse! This is a cute outfit!

And I need to take your advice and stock up on school clothes for the children now, because they are both rough on clothes. Ugh.
